Not every AC problem is a death sentence for your system. When a unit stops moving air the way it should, the first instinct for a lot of people is to assume it needs to be replaced. That's not always the case.

We got a call on a 14-year-old commercial rooftop unit that had given out. The blower motor was the culprit. The rest of the system still had life in it - so we went straight to work on a targeted repair instead of pushing for a full replacement nobody asked for.

The blower motor is what actually moves conditioned air through the building. When it fails, you lose airflow completely. The system might still run, but nothing gets where it needs to go. Replacing just the motor - when the rest of the unit checks out - is a straightforward fix that can add real time to the life of your equipment.

We had a new motor installed and the unit back up and running the same day. That's the goal every time. Less downtime, less disruption, and a fraction of the cost of a full system swap.

We're not in the business of selling replacements people don't need. If a repair makes sense, that's what we're going to recommend. A 14-year-old unit with a bad motor is still a candidate for repair - and in this case, that's exactly the right call.
